Creating color, texture and functional beauty with mosaic art pieces.
From the artist, Jesica Carlton:
"I have always been drawn to color and texture, particularly with things that also had function in daily life. As a kid, I was always doodling and drawing; my mother taught me to sew at a young age, so I was making a lot of my own cloths. When I ended up in Juneau, AK at 30, I connected with some quilters, one of whom provided some wonderful mentorship. I was quite prolific for many years, but then it fell by the wayside when I went back to school. In that gap time, I fell into cooking as a way to express my creative side, then about 5 years ago got interested in mosaic art. It's been a love affair since then, and now I almost always have 2 or more pieces in the works."
