Super Green Smoothie
Green smoothies made with raw, leafy green vegetables, a fruit or two are a great source of antioxidants, nutrients, minerals and vitamins. Plus you can help get some of your daily greens and nutrition in a glass!
Ingredients:
1-1/2 Cups Organic Coconut Water
1 Handful Spinach or Kale
1/2 an Avocado
1/2 cup honey dew melon
3/4 cup frozen organic pineapple
1 scoop of amazing grass greens superfood
1/2 tsp Spirulina
1/2 tsp Chorella
Blend till smooth in a vitamix, blender or even a Nutrabullet.
Filtered water can be added in to make it less thick.
Helpful Hints:
Use more vegetables than fruit in your smoothies to avoid the added sugars.
Change up the variation of leafy greens every few days using a variation of fruits and vegetables.
Other variations that can be added in:
Kale, Spinach, dandelion leaves, Chinese cabbage, chard, Romaine Lettuce, watercress, arugula, cucumbers, beet greens, parsley are other great greens to use.
Avocado is a great source of protein along with Chlorella and Spirulina, Hemp seeds and Flax Seeds, Pea and Hemp Protein powders or even a super greens powder can be used.
Kiwi, green melon, green apple, pineapple and mango can all be used to increase natural sweetness flavor and boost antioxidants.
